Villa Politini

Absolutely gorgeous stay at the villas! We had a wonderful time — everything was perfect. We’ll definitely be coming back!

The villa is lovely and always clean. Beautiful views to the White Mountains. Lovely seating and pool area. Stamatis and his family are always delightful. They have become friends over the years and nothing is ever to much trouble. Plus try his own olive oil - gorgeous.

Nice location, clean and cosy villa, the hosting so friendly and cooperating. I'll book the same villa again in my next visit to Chania.

Our experience at the villa was truly nice . The house is spacious and bright inside, with a private pool and a beautiful mountain view. The kitchen is fully equipped, and the bed linens were changed during our stay. Upon arrival, the check-in was excellent, and the villa was clean both inside and outside. However, there are a few minor points to note: the bathrooms need regular maintenance, and the washing machine could use better cleaning. The Wi-Fi experience was not great as the signal was weak inside the house.

We had a great stay in this carefully maintained villa. Special thanks to hosts for great property management and generous hospitality. Villa feels clean and spacious inside and have ample outdoor space with sweeping mountain views for outdoor dining or sunbathing. Pool is well maintained and of a good size. The property is located calm area just off center of Vryses with quick access (even on foot) to tavernas, coffee shops & bakeries, and local grocery shops. It is also just midway between two top resort towns in the region - Rethimno and Chania. Both are located about a half hour drive as you can quickly get on or off the main north coast highway. Beaches are about 15 min drive away. It is also on a solid mountain road to south coast sighseeings, such as Imbros Gorge hiking or Frangokastello fort and beaches.

We have been visiting Villa Politini and previous to that, Villa Elia for 11 years now. We love the villa, its situation and the village. Stamatis, the owner, and his family have become good friends.

Gorgeous villa with beautiful views of mountains. Pool area was great and the pool was very clean. All amenities listed were provided and the place was very clean and private. The beds were quite firm but we still slept comfortably well every night. The host was polite, lovely and accommodating providing us with fresh fruit on checkin. Overall would definitely book this place again next time I’m in Crete.

Mein Mann und ich haben unsere Flitterwochen in der Villa Politini verbracht. Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und verabschiedet. Zwischendurch wurde sogar das Haus gereinigt, neue Bettwäsche und Handtücher gebracht. Die Kommunikation verlief reibungslos und ohne Probleme. Politini ist ein sehr herzlicher und gastfreundlicher Mensch. Bei der Ankunft standen Getränke und Obst/Gemüse, sowie das selbstgemachte Olivenöl für uns bereit. Selbst zur Hochzeit und zum Abschied gab es eine Aufmerksamkeit. Das Haus ist für 6 Personen ausgelegt. Draußen gibt es einen großen Pool. Alles war sehr sauber. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und möchten uns an dieser Stelle nochmal herzlichst für diesen wunderbaren Aufenthalt bedanken. Wir werden wiederkommen :-) Viele Grüße, Dunja und Sebastian

Tolles Haus mit guter Ausstattung. Eigentümer sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Ort liegt abseits des Touristen-Trubels, trotzdem bekommt man hier alles, was man benötigt.

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Politini. The Villa was spotless and had everything we needed for an enjoyable and comfortable stay. It was spacious and we felt very ‘at home’ there. It has beautiful, traditional Cretan touches. Stamatis and his family were incredibly generous, welcoming and helpful. Stamatis recommended a lovely, traditional restaurant in Nippos which we visited twice. The Villa, pool and outside area was exactly like the pictures show. We were given clean linen and towels and the pool was also maintained. The local village of Vryses had some restaurants, bars and coffee shops. Also, Stamatis’ supermarket stocked fresh bread, local produce and delicious fruit and vegetables. The people are so kind and friendly and we recommend a trip to Chania and the beach. We would love to visit this villa again.

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Politini. Our host Stamatis is a very kind and generous person. The villa is spacious, very clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed a big swimming pool, green outside garden, private parking space and local restaurants and coffee shops. Stamatis provided a lot of information about places to eat and see. Local shops, restaurants, pharmacies, and coffee shops are within 5 minutes walking distance. We will be happy to come back to the same villa in the future. Thank you! We enjoyed our holiday very much.

We had a wonderful time in Villa Politini! The villa is located just a bit up the hill from the small and nice town of Vryses. There is always a nice breez! The lovely owners have been very welcoming as well and taking care of pool and extra towels/bedlinen and so forth. Excellent location to visit the nice towns of Chania and Rethymnon, both half hour driving. The beaches of Georgiopoulis are nice as well, especially enjoyed Paradise beach and lunch place. Easy to travel across the island from here with a rental car (one needs a rental car anyway).
