Villa Vrisses

A great place - isolated, yet close to many things. The hosting was excellent - quick and fast when needed it, but they left us alone in other times (which is exactly what we want :)

Vrisses villa was in an ideal location for our stay. We had a very peaceful time in comfortable accommodation. The pool was great for cooling off. Best view of the White Mountains you could wish for. Many thanks

We absolutely loved staying here - it was definitely one our favourite family holidays. Crete is a great place, and Villa Vrisses was even better in real life than in the photos! Everything was perfect, and we were so glad we chose to stay here. The owners were extremely helpful, and attended to our questions really swiftly. It was a beautifully relaxing place to stay and we loved having breakfast on the terrace looking out over the mountains. The villa is well equipped with everything we needed. The pool was gorgeous, and particularly perfect for a family with a young child who had just started swimming unaided. The outside space and seating area is fantastic, and we loved using the bbq too. We enjoyed going up the road (in car) to Nipos to the great restaurants there, and exploring more widely in the car too. We loved this villa being our base though - it was fab to come home to :o) We would love to come again!!

Wij hebben een geweldige mooie tijd gehad en bedanken de mensen van Villa Vrisses voor de fijne ontvangst en gastvrijheid, fijn contact gehad met Nikos die voor alles goed zorgde , voor ons een reden om zeker nog een keer om terug te komen op dit adres.

Der Aufenthalt in der Villa war wie erwartet. Alles war genau wie beschrieben. Das Haus ist sauber und ruhig gelegen mit herrlichem Ausblick auf die Berge. Die Kommunikation mit Elisa und Nikos war während des gesamten Aufenthalts super freundlich, schnell und unkompliziert.

We had a wonderful week stay, Elisa and Niko were great hosts. Very accommodating and friendly. The villa is gorgeous surrounded by olive tree farms and mountains in the distance. We easily could access so many beautiful beaches by car. Thanks for having us

Le logement correspond bien à la description de l’annonce. Nous avons trouvé la villa bien située pour visiter le nord ouest mais aussi le sud de l’île. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le calme de sa situation. Et surtout nous remercions Elisa pour son accueil extrêmement chaleureux. Toujours disponible, de bon conseil et très sympathique. La villa nous a offert un peu de nourriture pour démarrer ce qui est toujours très agréable. Seul petit bémol, le prix me semble un peu élevé par rapport à d’autres logements plus moderne et qui peuvent avoir une vue sur la mer. Mais je recommande ce logement.

We can't recommend this wonderful place enough. Elisa was the perfect host and was so welcoming to us (a family with three children). The villa has plenty of room and the pool area is ideal - bigger than we thought and set within beautiful gardens. The house was clean and spacious with very effective air conditioning which was essential during our August trip. The local town is pleasant and it's only a short drive to loads of places (the lake is great fun (get there early to save queuing for a pedalo), Georgiopolis OK for a sea swim, Rethymno the place for a town and long, busy beach, and Chania itself is busy and full of things to do). Not that you'll want to leave the villa of course! Elisa helped us with local recommendations and even helped my daughter to learn some Greek! We hope to come back soon!

This villa was beautiful. The hosts were lovely and very generous - including an array of basic groceries on arrival. The villa is extremely comfortable and the shower was the most powerful we have experienced in Crete. we loved the coffee machine and the juicer! The garden was beautiful with plenty of shade and sunshine. The area is very quiet and peaceful but only a short drive to villages with tavernas and adequate supermarkets. The busier more tourist areas at the coast are only 15-20 minutes away. We loved our stay here - thank you!

We spent two wonderful weeks in this beautiful Villa. House garden and pool were very clean when we arrived and they were kept that way during our stay. Elisa welcomed us with such warmth and great tips we immediately felt relaxed and happy about our choice. Nikos took care of the pool and lawn regularly and Elisa dropped by from time to time to make sure we had everything we need. The road near the villa is not very busy so you can really enjoy the peace and quiet. We loved having all our meals on the terrace and jumping into the pool in the morning or after a long hike. We wish we could still be spending our time surrounded by Olive trees, palm trees and flowers with the occasional scent of orange blossoms on the air. You can reach the villages Vryses and Nipos easily by car or on foot. We also found staying in this area to be perfect for exploring the west of Crete as you can reach Chania, Rethymno and Chora Sfakion in under an hour. We would love to come back some day!

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful villa in fantastic surroundings. The owner was really friendly and helpful and greeted us at check-in but otherwise left us to a very peaceful stay. We were particularly grateful for the welcome provisions provided after arriving late at night!

Best Villa we have ever had period. It was simply beautiful and Elisa and Nickos were perfect hosts. The cleanliness was exceptional, even better than a 5* hotel, with towels being refreshed every few days, and the villa cleaned too. Waiting to rebook asap for 2024...

Wir waren mit 6 Erw. für 10 Tage in der Villa Vrisses. Ein wunderschöner und erholsamer Urlaub. Das Haus ist in einem perfekten Zustand. Der Besitzer Nikos ist super freundlich und aufmerksam. Elisa als Ansprechpartnerin top. In Vrisses und Nipos gibt es ausreichend und sehr gute Restaurants zu tollen Preisen. Der Bäcker in Vrisses ist auch zu empfehlen ca. 2min. mit dem Auto. Ausflüge nach Chania und Rethymno sind zu empfehlen. Die Tage am Pool und Haus waren mit dem Grill auch super. Tipp fürs Grillen (Butcher Kafkalas in Georgioupoli) ca. 7 Km. Kurz um wir würden es immer wieder buchen.

A beautiful villa with an amazing view on the mountain Lefkas Ori. A great hospitality from the owners Nikos and Elisa. The place is nice and quit, but there is need for a car. Nearest taverna , coffee corner and supermarket reachable within 5 minutes of drive. Definitely will go there back in the future. It was our first time to visit Crete and we fell in love with it!

Wir konnten sehr viel von Vryses aus unternehmen. Das Haus, die Gegend ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Wir fühlten uns wie im Paradis. Es stimmte einfach alles. Ein wunderschöner energetischer Platz, an dem wir uns erholen aber auch gemeinsam arbeiten konnten. Alle Ortschaften waren von diesem ruhigen und doch zentralen Ort aus sehr schnell erreichbar. Wir waren inmitten von schönen Orten und sehr netten Menschen.

A lovely villa. Amazing views of the White Mountains and valley. A very relaxing holiday with lots of interesting places to visit nearby if you can tear yourself away from the villa and pool! A lovely welcome from the owners, who were discreet but very helpful if required. Highly recommend.

Wir waren zwei Wochen mit zwei Familien, 4 Erwachsene und 3 Kinder im Haus. Der Service ist perfekt, das Haus sauber, gut gelegen, wenn man einen Mietwagen hat. Der Pool und der Garten gross genug für kleinere Kids oder kurze Abkühlung. Meer und schöne Strände gut und schnell erreichbar. Ausreichend Freizeitmöglichkeiten in kurzer Entfernung mit dem Auto erreichbar. Danke, es war noch viel besser als erhofft!

A fabulous holiday

The property & grounds were delightful & very comfortable. Excellent location between two villages & 15/20 minute drive to the nearest beach. Plenty of restaurants & cafes nearby & very good value. The location was just right for chilling by the pool, with beautiful views of the Lefka Ori mountains .

We had a great time in this villa. The place is extremely well situated in the countryside but not far from a supermarket and pharmacy, as well as to the town of Vryses, with its beautiful river and outdoor restaurants. The garden was very well kept and the landscape very beautiful indeed. It was agreeable to find complementary coffee, tea, juice, water, etc, when we arrived.
The host was available whenever we needed. Very good experience. We recommend

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Urlaub in der Villa. Alles ist sehr sauber und gepflegt. Die Eigentümer waren immer bemüht uns den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten incl. Willkommens Paket. Vor allem Ms. Niki erkundigte sich mehrmals die Woche nach unserem Wohlbefinden und etwaigen Wünschen. Wir können das Ferienhaus anstandslos weiter empfehlen.

Haben 5 schöne Tage in der Villa verlebt.
Es hat voll unseren Erwartungen entsprochen.
Alles war sauber und ansprechend.
Wohlfühlcharakter.
Von Seiten des Vermieters war man sehr bemüht um uns.

we enjoyed our holiday in this beautiful villa. It was big enough, good service. the garden was also beautiful. The pool was big enough for us. It was great.

We have an absolutely wonderful 10 days at Villa Vrisses. Niko, Nikki and Elise were all very welcoming. The Villa was spotless and really comfortable and well-equipped. The location is fab - 30mins to Chania, and Samaria gorge, Iraklion/Knossos and Festos all easy day trips. The local beaches near Georgioupoli were great. Vrysses village provides everything you need. We strongly recommend the restaurants: Parasio Vamos (15mins drive) and Tzitzifia (10mins drive). One of the best holidays we have had.

Wir waren mit Freunden unterwegs um zu entspannen: wir haben erreicht was wir wollten und uns grossartig erholt! Schade, dass der Strand nicht noch näher an der Villa war. Wir empfehlen die Villa gerne weiter!

Ci siamo trovati benissimo in questa bella casa. Era pulita e ben tenuto e potevamo raggiungere velocemente in auto tutto quello che ci interessava. In ogni caso raccomandiamo questa casa!

Our family had a truly wonderful holiday in this typical Greek house. We enjoyed the whole flair and lived outside until late into the night without being disturbed or disturbing neighbours. Very relaxing!

Sehr schönes Haus, gepflegt und nahe allen Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Wir konnten sogar zu Fuss gehen, was uns besonders gut gefallen hat. Der Garten war wunderschön und so einladend, dass man eigentlich immer dort sein wollte. Auch die Kinder konnten toben wie sie wollten und so konnten wir alles sehr geniessen.

In Crete you can swim in the sea in May. That was great! Returning to such a beautiful house was always great, we were looking forward to come "home" every day. Great villa.
